Windsurfing Championships Gran Canaria is on!

Windsurfing Championship Pozo Gran Canaria 2010 is on!

The PWA have confirmed the Gran Canaria Grand Prix is on this year between 6th and 9th of July at Pozo Izquierdo. All events seam to be cut down to 4 days and this year it looks like it will be a wave only event. Due to the late confirmation the entry period is rather limited with a closing date of 23rd June. Pozo has a reputation for strong winds due to its exposed position along the Vecindario coastline which makes it an ideal venue this time of year. The shoreline further South tends to be more sheltered with sandy beaches and protected coves. The last bay is Puerto Mogan, home to 'Little Venice' and its marina, popular with cruise yachts and visitors who enjoy the tropical microclimate the Mogan valley offers.
